FCA Venture Partners Promotes Three New Partners

NASHVILLE, Tenn., September 15, 2021 – FCA Venture Partners (FCA), a leading healthcare technology venture capital firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of three new Partners: Andrew Bouldin, Whitney Haley, and Andy Patton.

These promotions come during a period of tremendous momentum for FCA. Since the beginning of 2020, FCA has had eight successful exits, driving $100 million in exit value and returning 100% or more of investor capital in FCA V and FCA Health Innovations I, with many portfolio companies remaining. Additionally, FCA’s current portfolio companies have raised more than $200 million in follow-on capital in 2021. FCA is now actively investing out of FCA Health Innovations II and FCA VII, and has made three new investments out of FCA Health Innovations II: Javara, Integrative Health Centers and eBlu Solutions. The firm plans to invest $1-6 million per company in an additional 20-25 healthcare technology companies over the next few years.

“Thirteen years ago, Clayton and Stuart McWhorter gave John Burch, Nancy Allen and me the opportunity to take FCA and cultivate the venture capital firm we have today,” said co-Managing Partner Matt King. “Our intention and desire is to enable the next generation of FCA leadership as they develop and succeed. We are very pleased to welcome our new Partners as they help us shape the next chapter of growth and success for our firm.”

Andrew Bouldin is a Partner and joined FCA in 2010. Andrew leads FCA’s deal sourcing, analysis, and due diligence process, reviewing over 400 investment opportunities annually. He engages with portfolio companies through operational advice, customer introductions, recruiting candidates, and assistance with financial initiatives. Andrew graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and received an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management, concentrating in Finance and Entrepreneurship.

Whitney Haley is a Partner and General Counsel and joined FCA in 2019. Whitney is primarily responsible for fundraising strategy and investor relations. She is also involved with the investment process including due diligence and legal analysis for investments and dispositions. Prior to joining FCA, Whitney was an attorney representing companies in a variety of business transactions with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, commercial mezzanine lending, capital raising and other general corporate matters. Whitney graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Accountancy and received a J.D. from the Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law.

Andy Patton is a Partner and joined FCA in 2020. Andy provides board-level support for FCA portfolio company founders spanning go-to-market strategy, financial modeling and fundraising. Andy most recently served as President and CEO of Clarus Care, Inc., a healthcare SaaS company he built from the ground up from 2014 to a successful exit in 2019. Prior to Clarus, he was Director of Product Development at MedSolutions (now EviCore), the largest radiology benefits management company in the U.S., where he worked on products ranging from oncology to wound care to CMS’s BPCI value-based care model. He also served as VP of Finance and Strategy and NuSirt Sciences, where he helped guide the company’s transition from retail nutraceuticals to specialty pharma. Andy graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts in Classics and received an MA in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College as well as an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management, concentrating in Finance.

“These additions to our partnership mark a very exciting time for FCA Venture Partners,” said co- Managing Partner John Burch. “Our new partners bring extensive experience, professionalism and integrity to their roles and their contributions have helped build the firm we have today.
