Visa Europe Selects Edo for an Exclusive Partnership
NASHVILLE, TN and London, U.K. – October 14, 2014 – Visa Europe (www.visaeurope.com), the world’s largest international payments network, today announce an exclusive partnership with edo(www.edointeractive.com), the leader in targeted card-linked offers. The partnership brings edo’s data-driven marketing platform to Visa-branded credit and debit cards across Europe. edo empowers marketers to target consumers based on their spending behavior with instantly-redeemable offers available directly on participating bankcards and mobile devices.
By partnering, Visa Europe will make the edo performance marketing platform available to 500 million European bankcards, allowing targeted and relevant retailer rewards to reach Visa cardholders across Europe.
“We’re always looking for innovative ways to offer value for Visa cardholders, and see edo as a vital tool to simplify our cardholders’ lives and shift us closer to the digital wallet,” said Steve Perry, Chief Digital Officer at Visa Europe. “Bringing together the largest payments network and the best card-linked marketing platform will offer us an unparalleled opportunity to provide Visa cardholders with retailer savings completely tailored to their buying habits on a one-to-one basis.”
edo currently operates across two top American payment networks and six of the top ten U.S. bankcard issuers. Over 1,000 retailers have relied on edo’s platform to find new customers using actual spending data for their brands. edo offers are connected directly to a consumer’s credit or debit card, eliminating the need for coupons, loyalty cards, or separate mobile apps to save.
“After building the leading card-linked marketing platform in the U.S., we’re thrilled for the opportunity to simplify the savings experience for millions of cardholders across the Visa Europe network,” said Ed Braswell, edo Founder and CEO. “It’s an incredible opportunity to help consumers save with the brands they love while arming retailers with powerful big data tools that extend digital measurement to offline, brick-and-mortar activity.”
Starting with a pilot program at the end of this year, the organizations plan to launch at scale in 2015 with United Kingdom as the first market before rolling out to additional European countries.
“We couldn’t think of a better organization to partner with on this vision,” Braswell added.
