SafeRide Health Announces Series B Funding to Transform Access to Care
November 8, 2021 – SafeRide Health, the leading technology-first platform connecting patients to life sustaining care, announced today the close of their Series B. SafeRide’s Series B is led by Sands Capital, a global asset manager with over $80 billion under management, with additional participation from new investors Seminal Capital, Hill City Capital, Fry’s Path Capital and Primetime Partners, as well as existing investors Fresenius Medical Ventures, Bonfire Ventures and Meridian Street Capital.
The funding continues SafeRide’s disruption of the $10+ billion Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) market, deepens core market presence and advances technology-first solutions which remove barriers to care. Specifically, the funding advances member experience, customer empowerment, automation and data powered innovation. Investment expands hiring and development of a world class team.
“Helping a loved one navigate chronic care - dialysis, chemotherapy or opioid recovery is incredibly challenging. NEMT is a lifeline to at-risk communities,” said Robbins Schrader, CEO and co-founder of SafeRide Health, “Yet the industry is entrenched in a call center based model that’s expensive, a challenging member experience and ineffective. We’re thrilled to partner with the nation's leading healthcare organizations to deliver a patient first, technology enabled solution.”
“SafeRide’s comprehensive end-to-end technology platform enables healthcare plans and providers to fully outsource transportation benefits for members, making it easier to receive treatment,” said Michael Graninger, Partner at Sands Capital. “SafeRide’s technology integrates the healthcare ecosystem and empower payors, providers, fleet operators, and critically the member, access to care.”
